President Christofias briefed the ambassadors of the five Permanent Members of the UNSC

The President of the Republic Mr. Demetris Christofias hosted yesterday a lunch to the Ambassadors of the five Permanent Members of the UN Security Council. In the afternoon, the Presidential Commissioner Mr George Iacovou told the press that "the President of the Republic has established regular meetings with the Ambassadors of the five Permanent Members of the UN Security Council". Mr Iacovou added that during the lunch, President Christofias had briefed the Ambassadors on the latest developments on the course of the work of the Working Groups and the Technical Committees. "They exchanged views and it was decided that such meetings would take place regularly,'' he concluded.
