Statements by the President of the Republic Mr Demetris Christofias after his meeting with the Turkish Cypriot leader Mr Dervis Eroglu
"The two sides submitted their positions”, the President of the Republic Mr Demetris Christofias stated yesterday. In statements to the press on his return to the Presidential Palace from the venue where the direct talks on the Cyprus problem took place, President Christofias said: “we have started. The two sides submitted their positions and we will continue on the dates announced both at the level of the leaders and advisors”. Asked whether new positions were submitted, the President of the Republic said: “the two sides have reiterated their positions”. Responding to another question, President Christofias said that Mr Ozersay and Mr Iacovou will visit Limnitis to review the work carried out. Finally, asked whether he has raised the issue of territorial adjustments and settlers the President of the Republic replied: “Of course I have raised it and I will continue to do so”.
