Studera på Cypern

Migrationsenheten är den myndighet på Cypern som utfärdar inrese- och uppehållstillstånd för utländska studenter.

Tillstånd för studerande på högskolenivå ges endast för studier på privata skolor som är registrerade hos utbildnings- och kulturministeriet (Ministry of Education and Culture).

Tillstånd för studerande på grundskole- och gymnasienivå ges för studier på registrerade grund- och gymnasieskolor.

Ansökningar lämnas till migrationsenheten av respektive skola.

Studier för utländska medborgare är avsedda för akademisk utbildning och regleras av utbildnings- och kulturministeriet.

Migrationstjänstemannen ansvarar för utländska studenters inresetillstånd till Cypern, deras vistelse och yrkespraktik. Varje student måste inneha aktuellt tillstånd utfärdat av denne tjänsteman. Tillstånd ges för en specifik skola och vid eventuell ändring av studiegång skall den berörda studenten ansöka om ett nytt tillstånd.

Vidare ska den blivande studenten inneha USD 3000 vid ankomst till Cypern för att beviljas inresa. Familjemedlemmar tillåts normalt inte att stanna med studenten under hans/hennes vistelse på Cypern.

Närvaro är obligatorisk på alla akademiska linjer och fristående kurser som är godkända av utbildnings- och kulturministeriet.
