President Christofias received the Members of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Cypriot Peace Association

Christofias received yesterday afternoon, at the Presidential Palace,
the Members of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Cypriot Peace
Association, headed by the President of the Board Mr Huseyin Celal.
President Christofias, speaking before the meeting, welcomed the
Members of the Board and said that the meeting would be conducted in a
friendly atmosphere and that they would "discuss peace and the issue of
the solution of the Cyprus problem", which is as he noted "is simple
but also difficult". After the meeting Mr Celal, speaking through an
interpreter, told the press that they had a very good meeting with
President Christofias. "We have congratulated the President on his
election to the presidency and on the agreement they have concluded on
the Cyprus issue. We have conveyed to him our conviction that this
process on the Cyprus problem is going in the positive direction and we
told him that we consider it very fortunate for the future of Cyprus
that these two particular leaders are heading the two communities", he
said.
