President Christofias had telephone conversations with Eroglu and Talat
The President of the Republic Mr Demetris Christofias had telephone conversations yesterday afternoon with the new Turkish Cypriot leader Mr Dervis Eroglu and the outgoing Turkish Cypriot leader Mr Mehmet Ali Talat. President Christofias conveyed to Mr Eroglu his readiness to meet him at the negotiating table so that the efforts to reach a solution of the Cyprus problem would continue. Mr Eroglu thanked President Christofias for contacting him and expressed the wish to meet him soon. Meanwhile, during their telephone conversation, President Christofias and Mr Talat agreed to remain in contact for the purposes of the solution efforts. -20.04.2010
