Two new Ministers, the Minister of Communications and Works Mrs Erato Kozakou Marcoullis and the Minister of Agriculture Natural Resources and the Environment Mr Demetris Eliades were sworn in today, during an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace, before the President of the Republic. The two Ministers will assume their duties today. In his address at the swearing in ceremony, the President of the Republic Mr Demetris Christofias said that with the appointment of the new Ministers, the two positions at the Council of Ministers, which became vacant after the resignations of the two Ministers of EDEK, are filled. In this way the Government continues its work, with full commitment to the implementation of the Government programme, he said. The President also noted that regarding the review of the Government’s work during the first two years of governance, two press conferences will be held soon, one on the Cyprus problem and the other on the issue internal governance. - 02.03.2010
